Ben's business experience started as owner/manager of the largest watersports company in the Cook Islands. Ben's great stepfather is Ian Parkes who owned the largest advertising agency in Perth for decades. Ben knew that marketing was the key to business success. When he returned from 10 years living on the island of Aitutaki to Australia, he developed best practice digital marketing skills, full time from 1999 to today.
Ben used the Australian Academic Research Network (AARNet) in 1990. That morphed into the Internet. After working at Curtin University's Western Australian School of Mines (WASM), 1990 - 1993, Ben trained Arab oil technicians at the Qatar General Petroleum Corporation's Vocational Training Centre in Doha, Qatar.
Besides digital marketing Ben also does part time professional development for students wanting to improve their computer software skills with hands on computer training in Perth.

When the RAAF Association Aviation Heritage Museum of Western Australia,
asked for his father's plane, Ben donated it.It was built by John Grummels senior and was the first plane to land at Jandakot Airport.
Ben built the first website in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, in 1995 just south of the town of Broome for volunteer community development reasons.
Ben served as an Australian Volunteer Abroad,(was AVA now named AVI)
1980 - 1985 as head of the
Aitutaki's Araura College science department. The demand for sailing tours led to full time sailing 1985 to 1990. He took prime ministers including friend David Lange and the Australian high commissioner to New Zealand sailing to attract aid funds to build a basketball court at this island high school.
Ben volunteered on the Scarborough School P&C and Churchlands High School P&C. Ben donated $400 towards shelters for Isaan children living in Bangkok.
Ben and wife Suree donated a roof for a Buddhist community meeting place in the village of Wang Nam Mok, Phraphutthabat,
in the province of Nong Khai, Thailand. Also a big donation to help with building this mountain top Buddhist temple in the Phu Phan Mountains. Ben's 4 Web Marketing donated $140 in October 2019 to North Beach Primary School. For the North Beach Primary School P&C fund raising Ben has donated a bicycle and cakes.
Australia Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, Volunteer committee member for web development of the not-for-profit organisation which achieved SERP first for "dutch business". Volunteer development of the first Northern Gold Fields community website.
Donated hundreds of dollars in prizes to the Stirling Business Association 2019 quiz night.
Frequently buying raffle tickets for worthwhile organisations such as the Western Australian Disabled Sports Association.
